Per Diem Sonographers, MRI and CT Technologists
We are currently looking for per diem Sonographers, MRI and CT Technologists to work in our imaging centers in Kirkland, Edmonds, and Everett.

In the CT and MRI positions, you will perform a variety of technical and patient care procedures that require independent judgment utilizing a multi-slice CT scanner and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging.  Sonographers will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.  You will also model Radia’s commitment to exemplary patient care, customer service and teamwork. The primary responsibilities are:

  • MRI/CT: Perform all MRI and/or CT procedures per established protocols. Properly prepare and position patient for MRI/CT procedures.
  • Sonographers: Perform variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular and small parts.  Responsible for preliminary assessments, summarizing diagnostic data and communicating this information with diagnostic images, orally, and in writing to the interpreting physician
  • Screen patient prior to examination for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the exam and explain procedure.
  • Assist interpreting physician as needed.
  • Support Radia efforts in quality and compliance.

We are looking for a candidate who meets these requirements:

MRI/CT Technologists:

  • Must have satisfactorily completed formal radiologic technology program
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license required.  Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Advanced registry in MRI and/or CT preferred
  • Minimum of one-year MRI and/or CT experience preferred
  • Possess complete understanding of the use of multi-slice CT scanner and/or MRI scanner and applications as well as related computer applications

Sonographers:

  • Graduation from 2-4 yr. C.A.H.E.A. accredited ultrasound program, B.S. degree in ultrasound technology preferred
  • Registered sonographer or must obtain appropriate registry within 18 months of hire
  • Minimum 1 year experience as ultrasound technologist

Medical Coder
We are currently looking for a full-time Certified Coder for diagnostic radiology with vascular, E&M, and interventional radiology opportunities available. We will train certified coders from another specialty. This will be a telecommuting position after 3-6 months of training.

The successful candidate will be a certified coder able to fulfill these responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting medical documentation and applying the correct CPT/ICD9 code(s)
  • Accurately and efficiently enter demographic, diagnostic and charge data into the computer system for Radia to bill for services provided.
  • Reconcile reports to logs or other source documents to verify all appropriate services have been billed
  • Identify problem areas and notify Lead or Manager of any notable problems/issues along with suggested solutions
  • Interact with hospital staff and other facilities to resolve problems and discrepancies on data received and exams outstanding.
  • Follow the predetermined schedule for timely billing/coding of services. 

We are looking for someone with the following background:

  • Current certification.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.  Some college preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years prior coding experience or equivalent. Candidates with experience coding in Radiology preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD.9 coding, coding standards and guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of physical anatomy.
  • Understanding of CCI and related edits
  • Strong keyboarding ability and 10-key by touch

Imaging Center Manager – Ballard
Radia has an exciting career opportunity for a skilled imaging leader to provide leadership for our joint venture imaging centers in the Seattle area.

The purpose of the job is to partner with Medical Center to achieve operational and administrative excellence, a solid record of compliance and volume growth at the Ballard Imaging Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Develops workable plans to achieve operational goals in the most efficient manner possible. Remains current on technological and clinical advances in imaging. Pursues profit opportunities and cost savings without sacrificing quality or patient satisfaction.
  • Growth: Works with the RTI President and Swedish leadership to provide direction for marketing efforts. Measures marketing activity and return on investment. Meets with referring providers to determine service levels and requested improvements.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Proactively and consistently seeks to understand our customers, and patients. Empowers staff to meet customer and patient needs.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensures quality, safety and related regulatory requirements are maintained. Develops, monitors and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Supports quality programs and initiatives.

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive Motion: Requires constant use of keyboard or hand-held device.
  • Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this job.
  • Lifting, Pushing and Pulling: Strength sufficient to lift some patients, move heavy equipment on wheels (up to approx. 500 lbs), and to move patients in wheelchairs and stretchers.
  • Grasping: Position involves prolonged arm positions necessary for scanning and grasping relevant tools.
  • Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of scanners and keyboards.
  • Visual Acuity: Requires the ability to read computer and instrument monitors.
  • Environmental Hazards: Potential exposure to bodily fluids (blood, mucus, secretions, etc.), including Bloodborne pathogens.

Imaging Center Manager- Kirkland
Due to an internal promotion, Radia has an exciting career opportunity for an Imaging Center Manager to provide solid leadership for our Evergreen Radia Imaging Center in Kirkland.

The purpose of the job is to facilitate and direct the daily operational activities of the Imaging Center to ensure patient and associate satisfaction, profitability, quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 or more years prior leadership experience in imaging operations.
  • 5 or more years work experience as technologist in Radiology; Advanced Registry required.

We are looking for someone with the following background:

  • Experience: Three years administrative experience in health care. Experience in scheduling, function coordination or travel planning preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma required with some evidence of continuing education. AA preferred.
